How To Add Your Pool Water Temperature To Your Insnrg Swimming Pool Automation App
This manual provides step-by-step instructions for adding a temperature sensor/gauge to an Insnrg Vi Chlorinator to display the pool water temperature on the Insnrg automation phone app.
Important note: You will need to have the inTouch Portal installed and connected to your WiFi before the App will talk to your equipment.

1. Turn off all your equipment
- To ensure the pump is not running or the chlorinator producing a current, turn off all your equipment.
2. Drill a 14mm hole in the pipework
- Locate the appropriate section of the pipework where you want to install the temperature gauge.
- Using a 14mm drill bit, drill a hole in the pipework where you want to insert the temperature gauge.
- IMPORTANT: Be careful not to crack the pipework or drill the hole too large.
3. Insert the temperature gauge
- Carefully insert rubber end of the Insnrg temperature gauge into the 14mm hole in the pipework.
- Ensure that the gauge is securely and snugly in place.
4. Connect the gauge into the Vi Chlorinator 'Stat 1'
- Locate the 'Stat 1' socket on the Vi Chlorinator.
- Connect the other end of the Insnrg temperature gauge into the 'Stat 1' socket.
5. Set up 'Stat 1' as the water sensor

- See your product manual for full instructions and menu layout
- MENU 5 – INSTALL MENU (On the Vi Permium Chlorinator and Automation)
- Press the MENU button until INSTALL MENU appears on the screen
- Then press the ENTER button to enter menu.
- Assign Stat 1 – Scroll through and assign ‘Stat 1’ as the water sensor (attached in pipework).
Or attempt to set up ‘Stat 1’ via your phone app
- Open the Vi menus on the Insnrg automation phone app.
- Select 'Settings' and then 'Sensors'.
- Under 'Sensors', select 'Stat 1' and then choose 'Water Temperature'.
- Save the changes.
Your Insnrg temperature gauge is now successfully set up and connected to the Insnrg Vi Chlorinator. You can now view the pool water temperature on the Insnrg automation phone app.
